Darryl Keith Bentley

Darryl Keith Bentley, age 60, was born in Montclair, New Jersey . He graduated from Central High School in 1979, then attended Albany State College where he pledged the XE Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated Fall of 1982. He later graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. After graduating Albany State, he worked on the United States Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, GA. He relocated to Atlanta, GA to attend Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science from March 10, 1986 to February 20, 1987 and became a licensed funeral director and a licensed embalmer. After obtaining his licenses, he relocated back to Macon, GA to work with his father, Calvin James Bentley, Sr., at Bentley & Sons Funeral Homes in Macon, Roberta and Jeffersonville, GA. In 2006, Darryl became the sole owner of Bentley-Montford Mortuary. 3 yrs later he met and married Patty James Bentley June 6, 2009. Darryl was preceded in death by his first wife, Benita Montford Bentley; his father, Calvin J Bentley, Sr; brother, Charlie Bentley. Darryl is survived by his wife, Patty James Bentley of Butler, GA; his mother, Janice Turner Bentley of Lizella, GA; his children; Natalyn and Breanna and Darius Keyon, Rodney and DJ of Butler, GA; two grandchildren; Khymoni Skye of Atlanta, GA and Eian Carson of Butler, GA; three brothers; Harold Miller Bentley, Calvin J. (Linda) Bentley II, DeUndray (Felicia) Bentley; and one sister, Shonte' Bentley (Donald) Richardson; sister-in laws; Ray (Otis) Daniels, Janice (Walter) Williams, brother-in laws; Willie (Tiffany) Carson, Maurice (Kimberly) Carson, Sandy (Sarah) Montford, Wallace (Wankie) Montford, aunt; Mildred Walker and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 2:00PM at The Macon Centreplex; 200 Coliseum Drive, Macon GA . Doors open at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Cherry Blossom Memorial Garden; 2700 Midway Lizella, GA 31052.
