Lisa Gibson

Open: Lisa Gibson is the daughter of Arthur and Mattie "Suzanne" Searcy. She was born September 19, 1962 in Reynolds, GA. Lisa grew up in Atlanta, Ga where she attended Pryor Street Elementary, Park Middle School, and graduated with honors from G.W. Carved High School in Atlanta, Ga. Lisa was also a part of the R O T C, National Honor Society, and the Beta Club. Occupation: Lisa's first job was at Burger King where she served as manager and assisted multiple family members gaining employment there. Later, her passion and love for kids began at La Petite Marionette Learning Center for approximately 6 years. Lisa continued her role as a child care provider with her sister, Sheila at Sheila Kids Connection for about 25 years. This is where Lisa devoted her time, energy, and love caring for every child that she and Sheila cared for every day. Lisa retired from being a childcare provider in 2017. Likes: Lisa enjoyed eating and spending with family and friends and going to dinner: namely Red Lobster. She also enjoyed taking bus trips to the Casinos and most of all celebrating birthdays with the "Sisters Birthday Club": Sheila, La Vonda, Charlene, Sharon, Tammy, Pat, Tasha, Jessie.Lisa was a dedicated and committed cheer coach at College Park Recreation Center for 25 years. She was known for her famous banana pudding which was highly requested by many. Transition: Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents Lillie Maude Searcy, Jessie Daniels, Hugh Gibson, Sr., and Nora Lee Gibson. Aunts and Uncles: Camilla Dent, Mary Coker, Carrie Hardy, Lillie June Searcy, Leila Bell Searcy, K C Searcy, Jessie Daniels, Jr., Morris Daniels, Willie Daniels, Charles Daniels and Hugh" Jack" Gibson, Jr. Nephew: Brandon Searcy. Lisa entered into eternal rest on Wednesday afternoon, March 1, 2023.
