Mabel Rankin

Mabel Rankin was born February 4, 1957, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Albert Greene and Gladis R. Colbert. She was an ambitious individual. She graduated from T.W. Josey High School in 1975 then went on to attend the University of Georgia where she majored in Home Economics and majored in Business. Following graduation, Mabel was employed briefly by the Hardy's Corporation then she settled in her professional career at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. During her tenure at Met Life, Mable served as a customer representative for areas in New York, New Jersey, and Canada. Mable gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age and was filled with the Holy Spirit while attending Second St. John Church in Smyrna, Georgia under Pastor Leroy Rankin. She was instrumental in helping Pastor Rankin establish Christ's Abundant Life Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. There she began to flourish in her work for the Lord. Sister Mable began to study in preparation to fulfill her call to the ministry. She began to undertake a number of leadership positions at the Ministry serving diligently and with excellence. She was instrumental in establishing Christ's Abundant Life Ministries first praise team. She taught Sunday School for a number of years. She served in the vital role of Administrator of the Church. There she managed the fiscal affairs of the ministry. Her responsibilities include the management of the Ministry's rental properties leasing to tenants and to other churches. Mabel was happily married to her faithful and devoted husband, Pastor Leroy Rankin, for over 30 years. They labored in Ministry together until she went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2022. Mabel leaves to cherish her loving memories in addition to Pastor Rankin, bonus daughter, Deidre Rankin Causey and her husband Willie Jermaine Causey; two brothers, (twins); Moses Colbert, Lexington, KY, Hoses Colbert, Atlanta, GA; one sister, Melisa Bain, Augusta, GA; two aunts, Julia (Alexander) McDougal, and Edith (Phillip) Marshall, Augusta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and the entire church family of Christ's Abundant Life Ministries.
