Robert Daniels

A Life Remembered... Mr. Robert W. Daniels was born on October 16, 1941 to his earthly parents, the late Mr. Jessie Daniels and Mrs. Irene Gouch Daniels from Macon County, Georgia. Robert grew up in Macon County, Georgia and attended the public school in Oglethorpe, Georgia. Robert decided earlier in life that he wanted to be successful so he moved to Atlanta, Georgia around 1961. Robert began working For Slaton Manor Apartment Complex in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked there a few years before accepting a job with General Motors in Atlanta, Georgia. Robert worked with General Motors until he was able to retire at an early age. Robert briefly joined his brothers and started farming. He was always fascinated with all types of vehicles and motorcycles. He loved to race others in fast cars and motorcycles. Because of his natural talent, Robert started repairing, buying, and selling vehicles in his spare time. He was eventually he was known to others in his community as the "Car Repair Man." Robert later joined his father and started running the "Hole in the wall" on the weekends. After years working with his father, Robert later became the sole operator of the "Hole in the wall.". He eventually changed the name and developed " The Night Spot.". He was a man of many talents. And he had a way with relating to people and he never met a stranger. He became well-known to others all around Georgia. Instead of Robert telling you "bye," he would say, " we'll holla." On January 7, 2024, Robert answered the call of his living Savior at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia. Robert was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie (Irene) Daniels; sisters Mary Coker, Camilla Dent, and Carrie Hardy; brothers Jessie Daniels Jr., Morris Daniels, Willie James Daniels, and Charles Lester Daniels; Brother-in-law Milton Miller; and son Robert Daniels, Jr. His enthusiastic life will forever be cherished in the lives of his seven children Belinda (Rodney) Harris of Marshallville, Georgia., Demetrius (Tamika) Brown of Union City, Ga., Sparkle T. Smith of Hampton, Ga., Denice (Robert) Searcy of Reynolds, Ga., Lakitrious Biddle of Norcross Ga., Tia (Trevor) Armstrong of Atlanta, Ga., and Teneka Daniels of Smyrna, Ga; a devoted goddaughter Tryvetta Evans of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren, DeMarquez Brown, Mala'jah Searcy, Kyle Thomas, Tamia Brown, Kendall A Smith, Kory Woodard Jr.; three bonus grandchildren Rayond Goolsby, Zacchaeia Goolbsby Romerio Goolsby; sisters Anne (Homer) Thornton and Clara Miller both of Atlanta, Ga., and Juanita Currelley, brothers Albert Daniels of Perry, Ga., Arthur (Mattie) Searcy and Bobby Daniels both of Atlanta, Ga., Henry (Penny) Searcy and Curtis (Shara Lee) Troutman both of Reynolds, Ga.; A devoted friend Debbie Reynolds of Smyrna, Ga.; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
