Johnny Clyde Mcclendon

Johnny Clyde McClendon was born on December 14, 1966, to the parents of John and Juanita McClendon. JC as he was affectionally called by all who knew him and loved him, grew up in Reynolds, Georgia. He attended the public schools of Taylor County School District. JC was a member of the Taylor County High School Class of 1986. He was known for his unwavering kindness, infectious sense of humor and dedication to family and friends. He was joined in holy matrimony to Deborah Gibson McClendon on September 24, 1994. On March 1, 2016, God in his infinite wisdom called the soul of Deborah from labor to reward. Later in life, JC enrolled in Central Georgia Technical College. He earned his certification to become a licensed barber in the State of Georgia. He later became the became the owner of his own barbershop in Reynolds. His clients ranged from young children to loyal patrons who had been coming to him for years. JC enjoyed hobbies such as going to the racetrack, where he found excitement and relaxation. He also enjoyed basketball and football. He was a fan of the Atlanta Falcons. At various points in his life JC was a dedicated member of White Springs Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board, the AMAR Civic Club and the Gospel Harmonies of Macon, Georgia. His favorite gospel song was " It's in my heart" by Harvey Watkins Jr. On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Providence Nursing Home, God called our beloved JC home to glory. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah McClendon, his parents: John and Juanita McClendon, Rufus Troutman; brothers, KC McClendon and Fred Troutman He leaves to cherish his precious memories three children, Johnmirean "Jay" McClendon, Tamia Solomon, and Darrell "DJ" Hollings, Jr.; grandchildren, Jayden McClendon, Jayce McClendon, Trevor Stewart, and Darrell Hollings III; four sisters, Gloria(Eddie) Gouch, Debra(Calvin) Davis Jennifer Troutman, and Soberina(Reggie) Traywick; one brother, Dexter "Scott"(Nikki) McClendon; Uncle and Aunts, Sammie(Sheila) McClendon, Willie James(Carolyn) Riley, Nervie(Curtis) Clay, Mary(James) Wingfield, Rosa Mae(Booker T) Thomas, and Armon J, Hughey; a special and devoted companion Keisha Baldwin and a dear friend and classmate, Earnest L. Dixon, and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, along with other relatives and friends.
